Photos were taken during the four different seasons to show the best of this newly listed World Heritage Site. St Paul's Cathedral online website
Armchair Travel visited Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece, St Paul's Cathedral in London, and captured almost 100 panoramic photos of the largest and best-known cathedral in Great Britain. We were granted access to many areas normally off-limits to the public, such as libraries, archives, the roof, and many galleries. In addition, thousands of photos and documents were collected and studied, which enabled us to produce over 150 mini-movies about the history, art and personalities expressed in the cathedral (see CD-ROM version, above). The website version is smaller, but contains 22 panoramas and 25 movies of this famous cathedral. Explore St Paul's Cathedral online website [top] |

London Piccadilly Circus Armchair Travel are based in London, and so have filmed a number of panoramas here. Piccadilly Circus in the West End of London is famous around the world. Tourists gather and relax here year-round. view °panorama NOTE: This
panorama is one of the first that we ever filmed for the internet,
back in 1995.
In those days, we used a single-shot camera and took 12 pictures around
to complete the panorama. Since traffic in Piccadilly Circus was moving
during that time, you will see partial images of moving cars and people
where the 12 pictures overlap. |
