Ergoflex Memory Foam Mattress: My Personal Experience
by W. Donelson

After reading about the amazing Ergoflex mattress, I decided to take a look into memory foam mattresses and the orthopaedic benefits that they are supposed to offer. I wanted to find a mattress that could not only provide additional comfort to our readership but also improve their overall quality of life. Memory foam has been around for some time, it has previously been used in hospitals and clinics as it is recognised by the health profession for its orthopaedic benefits, so this seemed like a good place to start.

I decided to take a look into memory foam mattresses and the orthopaedic benefits that they are supposed to offer. First of all I will break it down so that you can understand what memory foam actually does before we talk about its benefits as a sleeping solution:

Support and Comfort

Memory foam is made of visco-elastic foam; this special material is designed to mould around the curves of your body providing a sleeping surface that offers an even distribution of support while you sleep. The mattress reacts under your body temperature and moulds around your curves relieving the pressure from your spine and hips. People who suffer from back pain and other joint and muscle pain (like many the readers who visit this site everyday) can often find sleeping very difficult and if they sleep on a bad mattress it can increase pain and worsen such problems. From the masses of information that is out there for memory foam mattresses, the aim seems to be helping the body to relax in an optimum sleeping position that puts little strain and pressure on your skeletal structure during the night. The Ergoflex memory foam mattress is a medium/firm density so that you can sink into the mattress but still have a firm enough surface so that you will receive the best support.

Heat Retention

The Ergoflex memory foam mattress also incorporates a ‘cool-sleep airflow system’ layer that allows air to circulate through the mattress, making sure the body stays at the correct temperature throughout the night. I think this benefit in a memory foam mattress is important when offering orthopaedic benefits because health problems can cause enough disruption while you sleep without you constantly waking up feeling too warm and interrupting your sleep. A cooler sleeping environment will help you to fall asleep and stay asleep - ensuring that you receive a beneficial rest. Obviously this has a lot to do with your sleeping environment, I have found waking up with the heating on can make you feel tired and groggy and far from rested, however if the mattress also works to try and keep you cool, it will help improve the quality of your sleep.

Orthopaedic Benefits

During the night your body recovers and restores energy lost to the day’s activities. One of the most important benefits that I was hoping to find in my research into memory foam mattress was rejuvenating qualities for people with painful medical conditions in order to improve their sleep. I came across the Ergoflex mattresses on my search for the most appropriate mattress, as the company claims to provide a memory foam mattress that offers health benefits to users as well as other benefits such as the cool sleep layer and the anti-allergenic qualities, making it suitable for every individual. With the added support that memory foam offers and the reduction in tension on your spine and hips the mattress aids the healing process while you sleep and allows you to get a long and beneficial nights rest so that you can regain all of your energy that you need to get you through the day. An orthopaedic mattress helps to retain the correct body posture during sleep so that you don’t move into awkward positions during the night putting extra strain on your body.

A memory foam mattress helps with the alignment of your spine so that it follows the natural curve while you sleep putting the least amount of stress and pressure on your skeletal structure during the night. The surface of the mattress shapes itself around you so that there is adequate support over the entire body.

My Aim

What I was hoping the mattress was going to do was to provide a relief to sufferers with an array of medical complaints by offering excellent body-shaping support, ultimately creating relief for those with long-term back pain. I wanted to find a mattress that would relieve muscular discomfort, stiffness and aches in our readers so that they could feel happier and healthier everyday that they woke up, making me intrigued by the amazing orthopaedic benefits that this mattress claims to provide. During my research I came across memory foam toppers, which are cheaper and do provide a comfortable layer, however still holds the negatives of having the core of a sprung mattress which tend to sag and become worn down over time. I chose to test out the Ergoflex memory foam mattress as it offered an array of benefits to the user and was still a reasonable price. Although a mattress is a substantial cost it is essential to me that everyone who experiences trouble sleeping due to disabilities of all different kinds can have access to an affordable sleeping solution. With Ergoflex you can buy a high quality, temperature sensitive, high density memory foam mattress for half the price of its genuine competitors which was a real pull for me.

3 Weeks Later….

After using the Ergoflex 3rd Generation memory foam mattress for three weeks, although I have no severe medical conditions, I had definitely experienced significant differences. I felt that I woke up each morning feeling refreshed every day. I have not woken up with any aches or pains or stiffness from sleeping and I genuinely feel like I have received a much better nights rest. The sheer comfort of a memory foam mattress allows you too sink into it every night and have a comfortable nights sleep, in the optimum sleeping position making you less likely to be disturbed during a deep slumber. The combination of longer and better sleep along with the orthopaedic qualities leaves you waking up feeling refreshed and restored. I had much more energy during the day and I think for anyone suffering from constant pains from muscles, ligaments and joints an Ergoflex memory foam mattress will help to improve movement and relieve pain during the day.

Conclusion

Comfort and support are both vital factors when trying to sleep, I have always found that if you are comfortable in bed it will be much easier to fall asleep and you will sleep better throughout the night. For people with medical conditions comfort is one of the most essential factors, it can be very difficult to get comfortable if you are in pain and you have constant tenderness in your back and sides. The Ergoflex memory foam mattress helps to relieve this pressure and provides a surface that makes comfort very easy to achieve. Ergoflex have provided a mattress that excelled in quality, support and rejuvenation, providing a sleeping haven for people with medical conditions. I believe your bed should be a place where you can get release from pain and discomfort and where your body has chance to recuperate and repair, Ergoflex have provided the optimum sleeping environment to do just this and that I would recommend to anyone with acute pain and disability.
